RELIABILITY+ Puerto Rico

This Rico project is part of the REALIBILITY+ solution designed by HESStec and its main objective is to support the installation loads.

The project

  • Due to the poor quality of the electrical network, the facility has two diesel generators, one of them in continuous operation while the second works when disconnected from the electrical system.
  • After the installation of the solution, the control system, in the event of any instability in the network, will disconnect the critical loads without performing a zero transition, functioning as a microgrid formed in parallel by the storage system of 1 MW / 1,275 MWh and the generators, which will only begin to operate when the storage system reaches a certain minimum state of charge.
  • In this project HESStec has been in charge of carrying out the design of the energy management system (InMS™) together with the software and hardware necessary to achieve optimal management of the different electrical systems.< /li>
