HESStec has obtained ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification and High Category certification under the National Security Scheme (ENS), and has completed its compliance with the NIS2 Directive.
Hybrid Energy Storage Solutions, S.L. (HESStec), a pioneering company in the development and integration of hybrid energy storage solutions, has obtained ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification, the international benchmark standard for information security management, as well as High Category certification under the National Security Scheme (ENS), the highest level of compliance established by Royal Decree 311/2022. The company has also completed its compliance with the NIS2 Directive (EU Directive 2022/2555) on cybersecurity for critical and important entities.
These accreditations confirm that HESStec has a mature and independently audited Information Security Management System (ISMS) that guarantees the confidentiality, integrity, availability, authenticity, and traceability of the information it manages, both in its corporate processes and in the projects it develops for its clients.
Achieving the ENS High Category certification and compliance with NIS2 are especially relevant in the energy sector, where HESStec operates critical energy storage infrastructure. The NIS2 Directive places the energy sector among the highly critical sectors, and compliance with its requirements positions HESStec as a fully trusted technology partner for public administrations and electricity sector operators.
These certifications are not an end point, but rather the consolidation of a security culture that permeates our entire organization. In a sector like energy storage, where the convergence between IT and OT environments is constantly increasing, protecting information and systems is protecting the energy infrastructure itself.
With these milestones, HESStec reinforces its cybersecurity roadmap, which is already aligned with the IEC 62443 series of standards for the security of industrial automation and control systems, and for which it is currently undergoing certification, thus guaranteeing the highest protection standards throughout the entire lifecycle of its solutions.
